Often times, we come across individuals who are unsure of what exactly insurance agents do and question our role. To clarify, insurance agents are like the “middle man.” We are able to gather information from health insurance carriers such as Health Net, Blue Shield of California, and Kaiser, and then relay that information to people who are interested in applying for those particular health insurance plans. Our job is to provide people with as much information as possible such as the costs per month, summary of benefits, health plan terminology, and which doctors accept the plans people are interested in.
We are essentially your health insurance tool kit. We take care of the application process and make sure yours gets processed by your carrier of choice in a timely manner. We also take care of handling issues such as claims so that our clients don’t have to worry about being on hold for countless hours. We are able to utilize our unique “agent” phone numbers to contact insurance carriers and inquire about claims, benefits, and billing issues. We know which terms to use and questions to ask in order to get our clients the answers they are looking for. As your insurance agent, we are your advocate. Our job is to ensure our clients understand everything their health plan entails and that they are getting exactly what they are paying for.
We strongly recommend people take advantage of having a health insurance agent since our services cost absolutely nothing and we make a great support system/enhancement to your health plan while you are enrolled. Health insurance agents do the tedious work so you don’t have to, and again, our services are free! Service is all we have and you have no obligation to keep us listed as your agent, but we highly recommend it because we want to make sure you get taken care of and also, so you have more time for life 🙂
